The Frankfort Chamber of Commerce held their 24th Annual Business Expo Showcase on Saturday, February 16, 2008. The Expo was held at the spacious Lincoln-Way East High School field house located on Colorado and LaGrange Roads in Frankfort. The hours were 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. As always, admission and parking were free.

You and your family discovered the many interesting and varied businesses available in the Frankfort area and  the opportunity to speak firsthand with the knowledgeable people who manage them. 120 businesses were eager to share information, offer raffles and promotional items to visitors.

Frankfort Expo Chairman, Ken Hawke, Star Visions Photography, organized this popular event for the sixth year. Each year Ken and his committee work very hard to make this event informative and enjoyable for all our visitors.

Family entertainment included:

9:00 – 3:00 p.m. – Inflatable

9:00 – 3:00 p.m. – Face Painting

9:00 – 11:30 a.m. – Caricaturist

11:30 – 1:30 p.m. – Balloon Artist

10:00 – 2:00 p.m. - Hands-on project for kids presented by Home Depot
Over 200 projects were worked on and taken home by our youngest visitors!
Also there was a special appearance by "President Abraham Lincoln" who passed out shiny new pennies.

Attendees sampled a wide array of food provided by area restaurants that included Aurelio's Pizza, Palermo's Pizza and Restaurant and Villa Rosa Pizza.  Cash Raffles for both adults and children were given out along with several door prizes.
